Digital Projection IVision HD : Worth Every Penny
One of the most professional high end projectors to come out in the last few years, and actually live up to its name is the Digital Projection IVision HD. If you are going to pay a good chunk of change for a projector, you want to know that you are getting your money’s worth. Is it asking too much to get decent brightness without compromising contrast? Let’s take a closer look. When the IVision HD came off the production line it was priced quite competitively at $11,995 USD. This may seem like a lot of money, but you are definitely paying for quality components and an array of features. We will begin by mentioning that it is incredibly quiet with 28.0 db audible noise level, which is great for home theater use, however this is simply the tip of the iceberg.
The IVision HD pours 1000 ANSI lumens onto the screen, and while this number might not blow you away, the fact that it is coupled with a 2300:1 contrast ratio is absolutely amazing. This projector uses a 250W UHP projector lamp, which allows this lethal combination to exist. The lamp for the IVision HD can purchased by clicking here - IVision HD Lamp
The image that can be projected is huge with the potential to be 159 inches. This machine is also HD equipped with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a native resolution of 1280x720p. If compressed even further the resolution can reach a resolution of 1600x1200p to satisfy your extravagant HD dreams.
The IVision has every input known to man including a Digital DVI-D input which should be standard with every projector today, but rarely is included. The projector lamp lasts an average of 2000 hours in economy mode which is pretty standard and you may also purchase additional lenses to add more clarity and dimension to your image.
